Ryan J. Gibson,

President & Lead Consultant

Brings years of managing safety systems for major companies across North America. His hands-on, practical approach ensures organizations get timely, effective solutions that work where it matters most: in the field.

With nearly two decades of dynamic experience alongside prime contractors in the construction industry, I have refined my expertise in occupational health and safety.  From humble beginnings to leading pivotal construction initiatives, my most recent role as the Health and Safety Manager for a landmark liquid natural gas (LNG) pipeline project in northern British Columbia, sanctioned under provincial approval, has been a testament to my commitment to excellence. This role not only honed my skill set but also enriched my journey through meaningful engagement with project personnel, subcontractors, communities and regulatory bodies.

Before stepping into this role, I was a Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager and a Management Consultant for a leading LNG provider in Western Canada. I played a crucial role in orchestrating the  transition of prime contractors between two major organizations, thereby enabling the parent company to resume operations of the facility with the new LNG holding tank. Concurrently, I managed the Health, Safety, and Environmental aspects of constructing an interconnecting piping system, seamlessly linking new tanks to existing facility infrastructure, ensuring the efficient refinement and transport of LNG.

I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with numerous renowned clients, gaining invaluable insights and knowledge from industry leaders. My journey in construction commenced as a skilled laborer, where I embarked on an apprenticeship in plumbing and gas fitting for residential construction. I then found myself working in aggregate mining, where I maintained equipment and operated machinery throughout Alberta and British Columbia.

After completing a Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) project and working on water and sewage infrastructure, I ventured into real estate, completing my realtor education in Ontario and Alberta. However, my passion for construction was rekindled when I took on roles as a skilled labourer and equipment operator with a prestigious construction company for a pipeline integrity project in Ontario. The challenges and solutions inherent in these roles eventually steered me towards pipeline construction.

My education in occupational health and safety empowered me to transition into roles as a Safety Advisor, Health and Safety Lead, and Manager. These experiences allowed me to lay a foundation for continuous advancement, earning credentials that empowered others in the industry, reflective of the support I received throughout my career.

Navigating the unprecedented challenges of COVID-19 as a Health and Safety Manager was a formidable responsibility. Adapting to ever-changing environments and regulations while maintaining productivity was no small feat. However, through close collaboration with Northern Health Officials and government agencies, we implemented stringent safety measures that protected our workforce and communities, achieving significant success.

I take pride in building relationships and contributing to local businesses in the communities I serve—a source of deep gratitude. Currently, I am channeling my skills, personality, and network into establishing a company that upholds the highest safety standards, aiming to enable other organizations to thrive, mirroring the growth I have fostered in large-scale projects. I eagerly anticipate the professional partnerships that lie ahead.

Beyond my professional endeavors, music remains a profound passion. Over the past eight years, I have had the extraordinary opportunity to tour Europe with incredibly talented musicians. Playing drums during a European tour was certainly a milestone, reviving a teenage passion. I found myself rehearsing in Düsseldorf, Germany, for a headline tour, joining incredible talents and friends. Creating electronic music in my camp room while supporting the Coastal GasLink Project led to signing with an international electronic record label, adding cherished memories to my journey.

As I reflect on this incredible journey, I am deeply grateful to everyone who has been a part of my story—mentors, colleagues, friends, and communities who have supported and inspired me along the way. Your encouragement and collaboration have been invaluable in shaping my path. I eagerly look forward to the adventures ahead, meeting you on a right-of-way or construction project, and continuing to build a safer, more innovative future together. So, get your buggy whips up, and let’s pave the way to success!
